Meet the Parkway Doctors
Dr David Mobley
Dr. Mobley grew up in Lyons, Georgia and still keeps many of his Georgia roots. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1968 with scholastic honors and then went on to graduate medical school from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. David Mobley completed his residency in OB/GYN and become board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1977. He initially was in private practice in OB/GYN, but then went back to complete an additional residency in plastic surgery here in Jacksonville. Dr. Mobley has been in private practice in plastic surgery in Jacksonville, Florida since 1980 and has seen many of the changes and trends that have occurred in plastic surgery over the years. His many years of experience and ongoing thirst for new knowledge and technology have made him one of the best plastic surgeons in the community. Dr. Mobley is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has served as president of the Greater Jacksonville Society of Plastic Surgeons and was previously Chief of Plastic Surgery for Baptist Medical Center. These many attributes add to his reputation as one of the most respected plastic surgeons in Jacksonville.
Dr Rebecca Glasser
Dr. Glasser was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North
Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina
for her undergraduate degree in Biology and graduated
in 1987. She then attended medical school at the University
of North Carolina. For her general surgery training,
she attended the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Dr. Rebecca Glasser trained a year at the University
of Florida in Jacksonville in the Division of Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery and then went to the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to complete her plastic
surgery training. She is board certified by the American
Board of Plastic Surgery. She initially began practice
as an assistant professor at the University of Florida
at Shands Jacksonville in the year 2000. There, she
was able to get involved in the teaching aspect of
medicine working both with surgery residents as well
as medical students. In addition, Shands hospital provided
valuable experience in all aspects of plastic surgery
including breast cancer, trauma, hand and craniofacial
surgery. At that time, she was also involved on a national
level by serving on the Steering Committee for Young
Plastic Surgeons to assist new plastic surgery graduates
in starting out in practice. In 2004, she joined Dr.
David Mobley in private practice and together they
started Parkway Plastic Surgery. Dr. Glasser performs
a variety of both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. |
