Procedures: Botox
Botox © Cosmetic can be used in persons 18 to 65 years of age for temporary reduction of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. Botox © Cosmetic is FDA approved for this treatment.
Botox © Cosmetic type A is the only Botox product used at Parkway Plastic Surgery.
Botox © Cosmetic is a simple, non-surgical outpatient treatment performed in the office. The entire procedure takes approximately 15 minutes. You may return to work after a treatment.
What is Botox © Cosmetic and how does it work?
Botox © Cosmetic is a purified protein used to relax the facial muscles that cause moderate to severe facial wrinkles.
When will I see results?
The results of Botox © Cosmetic are noticeable within five to seven days.
What will happen at my first consultation?
When you arrive at Parkway Plastic Surgery you will fill out a brief medical history form. Your consultation will include a quick review of your medical history, a question and answer time to discuss Botox, sign a consent form, and pre-Botox photographs. We take these photographs to track your results. You may have Botox administered on the day of your consultation. There is no skin testing required for Botox administration.
Prior to Botox treatment, we will use a topical numbing cream to make the injections as pain free as possible. After about 10 minutes the cream will be removed and you will receive your Botox injections. The entire process consists of a few tiny injections. This will end your Botox session.
You are able to return to work, or your routine daily schedule.
How long will my Botox © Cosmetic last?
The average patient sees results lasting three to four months. After that, you may be ready to return for your next treatment.
Is Botox © Cosmetic safe for everyone?
Botox © Cosmetic may be used on persons age 18 to 65 who are not pregnant or nursing. Patients with neurological disorders such as ALS, Myasthenia Gravis, or Lambert Eaton syndrome may be at increased risks of serious side effects.
